Reliance Hexham are proud to announce that we have secured a contract to supply over wind and under wind protection for a large Australian Mining project!

Fatalities as you can see from the link above, is a very real outcome. This can also cause significant production down time and millions of dollars lost where shaft equipment such as a skip, falling down a shaft. A previous instance where this occurred, excessive amounts of damage was caused and it took over 6 months for production to resume. In another known case, an overwind has closed mines down due to damage sustained and costs to repair so “Prevention is certainly better than cure”!!!
From the animation, you can clearly see how the Technogrid energy absorption system, absorbs the kinetic energy of the cage or skip being arrested and leaving the conveyance safely in the jack catches.
Previously, mines that have technogrid installed, production has commenced on the same day of the incident due to the replacement and installation being quick process. This allows for mines to have a quick turn around and a significantly less impact on production.
