Investing in Youth

Over past 15 year, Reliance Hexham has found the importance of investing in the youth of our community by creating apprentice positions within our company. During this time, we have put 10 individuals through their Certificate 3 in Engineering Fabrication (heavy). Reliance Hexham currently has an average of 10.2 years of service and a combination of 215 years in the industry. These figures showcase the vast knowledge between our team members that strive to enhance.

THE BENEFITS

  • Control over skills acquired: By creating the opportunity for a young adult to commence an apprenticeship with your company, you are able determine the specific training in safety and quality to ensure the specific needs of your company are met. This increases overall reliability and quality of your products.
  • A fresh perspective: Due to these young adults holding limited experience in their field of training, they can bring unique perspectives that older employees may not see. This can be a key factor in promoting innovation of new ideas as they can challenge previous traditional methods of operation.
  • Access to the latest knowledge and skills: By employing a young adult, you are able to gain the very latest skills and knowledge within your industry. Apprentices are constantly receiving the most current education available to their trade.
