We have shared many life milestones in-between this time together such as sporting achievements, weddings, holidays, children and recently for Ian, becoming a Poppy! From a professional perspective,  30 years of experience is monumental in an industry! Specifically looking at shaft equipment, there is a significant lack of knowledge and experience that is located within Australia! Ian has worked hard to develop his skills throughout the years and is now providing the up and coming generations with his experience, knowledge and support to continue the quality of Reliance Hexham's work.  You would expect that 30 years of experience alone to place you into the expert category of our trade but Ian has a key distinguishing factor that separates him from others. Ian has a Blacksmith trade and engineering background which he then applied these skills to his role in sales and eventually his current position as Managing Director.  Looking further into the skills Ian obtained through his Blacksmithing trade, a strong knowledge of metallurgical fundamentals, heat treatment requirements and how grain flow and material grades perform. This key knowledge is needed to keep workers safe when travelling up and down a mine shaft anywhere up to 1km deep.  It is without a doubt that Ian has significantly contributed to the successful operation and development of Reliance Hexham throughout the last 30 years. We are so grateful that he is able to pass on his wealth of knowledge and experience to the younger generations and continues to push our team and company to its full potential.  Please take the time to send Ian a message on celebrating 30 years of service via his email [iant@reliancehexham.com.au](mailto:iant@reliancehexham.com.au) or mobile 0438648309.  **FIND US ON OUR SOCIAL PAGES BELOW** [![insta](https://info.reliancehexham.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/insta.png?width=38&name=insta.png)  INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/reliancehexham/) ![images](https://info.reliancehexham.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/images.png?width=40&name=images.png)  [LINKEDIN](https://au.linkedin.com/company/reliance-hexham) [![youtube](https://info.reliancehexham.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/youtube.png?width=45&name=youtube.png) YOUTUBE](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGaGrmjveoOGHceDWONLpgw)     - [![Design & Engineering](https://info.reliancehexham.com.au/hubfs/Reliance_Hexham_September2018/images/services-img-1.jpg) Design & Engineering](https://reliancehexham.com.au/services/design-engineering-2/) - [![Manufacturing](https://info.reliancehexham.com.au/hubfs/Reliance_Hexham_September2018/images/manufactoring-service-1.jpg) Manufacturing](https://reliancehexham.com.au/services/manufacturing/) - [![Crane Audit](https://info.reliancehexham.com.au/hubfs/Reliance_Hexham_September2018/images/crane-audit-service-1.jpg) Crane Audit](https://reliancehexham.com.au/services/crane-audit/) - [![Testing](https://info.reliancehexham.com.au/hubfs/Reliance_Hexham_September2018/images/services-img-4.jpg) Testing](https://reliancehexham.com.au/services/testing/) - [![Heat Treatment](https://info.reliancehexham.com.au/hubfs/Reliance_Hexham_September2018/images/services-img-5.jpg) Heat Treatment](https://reliancehexham.com.au/services/heat-treatment/) - [![Product Training](https://info.reliancehexham.com.au/hubfs/Reliance_Hexham_September2018/images/training-2.jpg) Product Training](https://reliancehexham.com.au/services/product-training/) ### Our expert mechanical engineers are ready for your project We have the experience and personel to delivery any size project on time and on budget.
